When I was approached to take Kate’s senior pictures, I immediately thought of Cox Arboretum in Dayton, OH. This 189-acre facility is free to the public and contains a wide variety of flowers and trees as well as several ponds on the property. In the Spring, the colors from the flowers are so bright they almost hurt your eyes. In the fall, the trees change colors at different times, giving you a great opportunity to experience Fall for many weeks.
Kate is an accomplished student and musician. I asked her to bring her violin to the shoot as a way of adding that personal touch that nothing else could. We spent almost three hours walking the park, looking for a good setting that she liked (easy to do at Cox).
