I was excited I when I got a call from Valerie’s mom to discuss taking her senior portraits. It feels like I just finished taking Alexa’s (Valerie’s sister) senior portraits. Valerie was so easy going and we had a great time walking around Ault Park, stopping at one of the endless picturesque settings to take a portrait. I encourage all of my seniors to bring several changes of clothes to provide a large gallery to choose from. Valerie did just that – bringing clothes that spanned from casual to classy formal.
I have to admit, the pink shirt she wore is one of the coolest shirts I’ve seen with bold colors and a photogenic pattern. However, the black dress she wore for the fountain shots was a perfect selection for the setting. The evening lights came on in the fountain and provided a beautiful backdrop for capturing more sophisticated portraits, especially when she braved the cold fountain water to achieve a more unique perspective.
