2010 Lebanon Horse drawn Carriage Parade | Lebanon, OH

On Saturday, I met up with my friend Stacy in Lebanon for the 2010 Horse Drawn Carriage Parade. They have two parades each year, one at 1PM and the other at 7PM. The 1PM show is obviously the one you want to attend to see the beautiful horses. The night parade has the extra bonus of the lights adorning every carriage.

They had dozens of carriages from near and far. Everything from miniature ponies to the Clydesdales were attending the parade this year – very cool. It’s easy to forget how large those horses are until your standing only ten feet from them. The parade took about forty minutes to finish.

When you’re not watching the parade, either before or after, you can shop in the many storefronts in Lebanon and eat some great food from the street vendors that set up just for this event. I had lamb chili – a new one for me. I liked it!

I hope you enjoy the pictures below. More have been posted to my Facebook album here.
