This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Sara and Mike Hilton’s wedding at St. Monica-St. George. This is an amazing Catholic church located in Clifton. They recently rehabilitated the stained glass windows and they look incredible.
Sara and Mike had a beautiful, sunny day for their ceremony. After the wedding, we captured the traditional formal shots of the wedding party and both families at the church. Next, we made a short stop at the Community Center where Sara and Mike met when they were just kids. It was nice to see them walk down memory lane.
We then took a short drive with the wedding party to Fernbank Park in Cleves on the way to the reception hall. The park is along the Ohio River and presents good opportunities for post-wedding portraits.
Finally, we continued on our trek to the reception hall, The Mariner’s Inn. The outside of the hall is like many other venues in Cincinnati, but the inside of the hall is surprisingly nice. They have an ample dance floor, a wonderful menu, and nice interior design that adds to the reception photos. Sara and Mike really know how to put on a reception, and both families really know how to dance! In fact, Mike and his friends put on a group dance that was new for me – one that I have not seen since. Ask them about it if you happen to meet them.
